Introduction
The Quotes page lets you create, edit and progress quotes for your customers. The available items to quote are controlled through the Catalogue.
Quote States
Quotes can be duplicated to draft from any state. This creates a clone of the quote and puts it into draft state where it can be edited.
Draft
Draft quotes can be edited, duplicated and deleted. Once submitted, the quote moves to "Awaiting Acceptance" state.
Awaiting Acceptance
Quotes awaiting acceptance are waiting for:
a) Get a quote for the bill of materials from your distributor(s). Encapto has some integrations with distributors, or you can use the CSV download to get a full list of materials.
b) Create a quote for you customer. You can use the CSV output to put the bill of materials in your favorite quoting tool
Quotes in this state can either be Accepted which moves them to that state, or Rejected which moves them to the Archived state.
Accepted
Accepted quotes can have provisioning orders created against them. From here you can select which items are going to which sites, and create a provisioning order. This hooks into Encapto Command for automated provisioning (see Order Management)

Rejected quotes, and quotes that have been fully provisioned go into the Archived tab. Quotes can be
Creating Quotes
To create a new quote, select Quotes from the main menu and click New. This will show the quote builder wizard. From here you can use the Guide me flow (if available), or browse the catalogue directly.
Guided flow
The Guide me flow shows a series of questions before recommending a bundle. This can be a useful flow to go through with a customer to discover the best outcome based bundled solution. When adding a bundle, you may be shown optional, relevant add-ons to that bundle. These add-ons are configured via the Catalogue
Browse Catalogue
Browse Catalogue is a simple and fast means to building up a bill of materials. Use the search to quickly find known SKUs, or use the available filters and search by name to find what's needed.
